Does your drinking water taste like you gulped a mouthful of pool water? If so, Ecowater Systems is probably on your radar, but what exactly is it? How does it work? What does it do?!

All of these questions are a good starting point to determine whether or not you want to install Ecowater Systems in your home. So read on to learn a little bit more about this water filtration system and how it could benefit you.

What Are Ecowater Systems?

An Ecowater System is an in-home water filtration system that treats your water at the point where it enters your home. It is designed to soften hard water through a salt activation system. The Ecowater System also purifies drinking water through reverse osmosis which removes at least 95 percent of all dissolved solids in your water.

It also has the capability to perform as a water refiner, which will remove mineral deposits and eliminate the chlorine taste that is so commonly found in treated city water.

You may need all of these available filtration features or only some. It depends on what is in your water.

What Is Soft Water?

What is hard and soft water? Hard water is water that contains high traces of minerals, primarily calcium and magnesium. Over time, these minerals can build up and calcify in your pipes creating major problems.

Day to day, hard water will become a nuisance as it leaves a residue on plumbing fixtures and decreases the effectiveness of soap and detergents. Hard water is not necessarily bad for you, but it can dry out your hair and scalp and leave the skin feeling gritty after bathing.

Soft water has had the minerals removed through the use of salt and resin beads inside of your softener filter. The system uses negatively charged ion beads to collect the minerals, therefore leaving your water with a softer feel and reducing mineral buildup on plumbing fixtures.

How Much Does It Cost?

This we cannot say for certain.

Ecowater Systems have largely kept their prices a mystery. You’ll only learn the true cost once you’ve had a sales rep come to your home and analyze your water and determines your needs.  This leaves some potential buyers skeptical as the average consumer knows very little about water filtration systems and at a disadvantage when it comes to negotiating costs.

While the Ecowater Systems cost is unknown and a little bit sketchy, don’t rule it out until you’ve done your research and have quotes for other similar home filtration systems.

Is an Ecowater System Right for Me?

It could be! You won’t know for certain until you’ve had your water professionally analyzed to determine its contents. We recommend doing your research and looking at all available options before committing. Read Ecowater Systems reviews to see what others are saying about it.
