Do you have a broken TV?

After finishing your tasks for the day, all you want to do is sit back and watch some television. You want to go and watch some of the best 2020 TV series to relieve stress. However, your TV isn’t working as it’s supposed to be.

To fix whatever problem your TV has, here are some of the common TV problems and how you can fix them.

  1. The TV Switches On and Off By Itself

The first thing you can do is switch your TV off and disconnect it from the socket for a minute. Doing this should reset any internal problem the TV has.

You should also check the remote. Make sure the power button isn’t stuck and causing the TV to shut off and on.

There’s a smart TV setting that lets you power itself off after a certain amount of time. Look for the internal sleep timer function and turn it off. If the problem persists, check for faulty cables and connected devices to fix the problem.

  1. Lines and Cracks on the Screen

Large TV screens are delicate and are easy to crack. If lines appear on the screen, there could be internal damage to your TV.

Are you still eligible for a TV warranty replacement?

Prepare the necessary information like serial numbers and receipts needed. Most warranties do not cover damages resulting from tampered parts, accidents, or misuse. If your TV falls under any of these circumstances, buy a new one, instead.

  1. Sounds Echoing

Are you hearing repeating sounds when watching a show? Did you have another sound system installed in your house? The sounds are coming out of both of your TV speakers and the sound system at the same time resulting in an echo effect.

Don’t worry, this is one of the simplest TV issues you can fix by turning the volume off the TV speakers. You can disable and mute it to make sure the sounds will only come from your external sound system.

  1. TV Looks Pixelated

TV Pixilation is often caused by signal disruptions you are getting from the service provider. To fix the bad TV connection, unplug your HDMI cable from the set-top box for a couple of minutes and put it back on. Check for loose cables and secure them by pressing them back in place.

Are you watching in HD? If reducing the sharpness doesn’t solve the problem, you are experiencing some antenna issues. This is something you can’t fix alone so contact your local technician for TV antenna repairs.

  1. No Picture Display

If the TV is on but you can’t see nor hear anything, the problem lies with the picture and sound settings. Tweak or optimize your TV settings to get the best picture quality. For audio, make sure the speaker settings are ON and there are no headphones connected to the TV.

Ensure that your satellite receiver is working and the wires are secure in place. If nothing helps, call your service provider for help or a technician for repair.
