Every woman likes to look good and feel good about herself. Beautifully well-groomed nails are vital for an exquisite look. Now if you look at your hands and feet and feel a little convinced that they are not beautiful, give yourself a manicure and pedicure. If you can’t DIY at home, visit one of the many spas like Spa Fredericton who offer these kinds of pampering services. It’s just a minor thing, but I know having beautiful nails makes me a lot more confident, even when my hair is messy, and I don’t have any makeup on. How can you have your nails looking beautiful for as long as possible? There are specific simple tips you can follow to take care of your feet and hands. I am sure many of you are familiar with most of them already. Here are few simple guidelines for beautiful hand and feet.
Healthy Diet
Most of the times when you are sick, nutrient-poor, or exhausted, your hair and nails are one of the first places your body shows signs of damage. Drink at least eight glass of water in a day and eat a balanced, healthy diet with a good variety of antioxidants. A healthy and balanced diet is a must thing if you want healthy skin, nails and hair.
Avoid Nail Damage
Bitten nails never look good. If it’s your habit to bite nails, invest in one of the several products available in the market to break that habit. Avoid using your fingernails as “tools” at any cost. When you want to file your nails, file one way only and use non-metal files. Filing in both directions creates heat which can make your nails breakable. When buffing your nails to reduce smudging, only do it for 15 seconds and maximum once a week. When trimming your nails always trim straight and never at an angle as this can cause to an ingrown toenail. And yes they are very painful!
Applying DIY Nail Polish
Don’t you have time to visit your nearest Day Spa for manicure or Pedicure, So if are going to apply nail polish at home then never forget and use a base coat under your nail colour to avoid staining your nail, when removing the paint. If you have old polish spots on your nails, you can remove them with cotton balls dipped in lemon juice. When you are done applying your nail jell, apply the best quality clear top coat to avoid chipping and add extra gloss. Whenever you want to remove your nail polish then always use acetone-free polish remover because it is little harsh as compared to other nail polish remover.
Drying Nail Polish
After applying nail polish, make sure you have adequate time for your nail polish to set and harden. Sometimes When I need to speed up the time to dry my nails, I soak them in little cold water. It won’t completely dry your nails, but it will help them to set a bit faster.
Pro Manicure and Pedicure
For protecting your skin and nails, I recommend you must visit a nail salon at least once a month for a manicure and pedicure session. In this way you can have a regular checkup of your skin and nails by professional. You can get valuable suggestions from your beautician along with a Pro Manicure and Pedicure treatment.
Protect Your Hands
While doing your kitchen work, washing household items with harsh detergents always wear special gloves for this purpose. These types of rubber gloves can be easily available online, and by wearing them, you can protect your hands from harsh chemical while doing your routine work.
Moisturize your Skin
I wonder many females take special care to their facial skin by treating and exfoliating it on a regular basis but mostly ignore their hands and feet. So I always suggest my clients give equal importance to your hand and feet skin. Apply hand moisturizing cream daily, especially after washing them, as soap can dry out the skin. Remember to take care of your nails and cuticles. There are special moisturizing creams that hydrate the cuticle, but in my opinion, olive oil is the best alternative, and of course, it’s a natural way.
