The oceans are today stuffed with plastic materials. Approximately, 8 Million plastic materials, in an average day, are dumped into the seas. Is that a manageable threat to just humanity but the aquatic life? Not exactly. The perilously advancing ultimatum of Plastic Pollution is now getting out of hands. According to a study, more than 5.25 Trillion pieces (Macro & Micro) of plastic supposedly float in the open seas. Between 60 to 90% of the marine debris is solely consisting of plastic pollutions. Do these alarming indicators of plastic pollution not make a skeptical threat to the aquatic lifecycle and climatic codecs? Where do the plastic bottles go once used? Where does the plastic made Protective Glasses go once thrown away? For recycling? They are meant to be dumbed. More than ten thousand of aquatic mammals die annually due to plastic pollution. More than a million sea birds die each year due to plastic pollution each year. But finally, there is a piece of good news from scientists regarding the practicable solution to Plastic Pollution.

Plastic Byword – It doesn’t Decompose.

Every product made by plastic, smaller or bigger, softer or harder, useable or disposable, has one thing run-of-the-mil. That’s an embedded plastic trait in each item that it doesn’t decompose at all. Scientists have very recently turned up the Microplastics embedded in the Arctic Ice. That’s not a coincidence at all. At present, circumvents are way too alarming on account of plastic pollution. A recent study suggests in major beaches of the world, almost 5000 plastic materials can be easily found in just One Mile from the beach.

That’s not a country-specific fact. That’s not a region-specific fact. That’s a very worrisome global factious. The only thing preventing the plastic pollution to triumph with each passing day is the ability to not to decompose. Plastic can be recycled though. The recycling process depends on product material. Even after one or two recycling periods, it would eventually be dumped somewhere where it would last for centuries without decomposing a bit.

A breakthrough in Plastic-Eating Enzymes.

About 300 Million Tons of Plastic is produced each year in the world. Less than half of it is recycled into other products. More than half is dumped into open seas, oceans, rivers, and canals. Where does go this much plastic? It is the poison humans are dumping into the seas to gradually wear out the aquatic life. Coming to Plastic-Eating Enzyme. It was first turned out by the Japanese Scientists in 2016. According to research, a bacteria was found that produces two different Enzymes out of it.

They named them as PETase & MEHTase. The research couldn’t face further expound in it. Until recently in Colorado, the scientist came up with a successful experiment. When PETase is disclosed to the plastic material, it starts to decompose it. The other enzyme called MEHTase also starts turning up the plastic tissues rapidly. That’s how a biological decomposition sounds like. The scientists in Colorado are planning to replicate this feature to make the clone of likewise enzymes that can decompose the plastics for good. Recycling Plastic Pollution isn’t a long-term panacea. But the decomposition of Plastic Pollution might save the aquatic habitat from further spoiling due to plastic pollution in the seas.

That’s not just aquatic life, humans also face the danger of this maniac. An average man is surrounded by plastic products. Laptop, keychain, vehicle, shoes, 3M Safety Glasses, Watch Straps, Cell Phone Cover, and dozens of other things. In fact, humans face more danger than other participants of the ecosystem on earth.

Each year around the globe 640,000 Tons of plastic material used for fishing is abandoned or left in the seas. That abandoned material is a direct hit to sea life. More than 80% of the plastics are from resources of the land that include water bottles, and other smaller objects. The aquatic life is at higher stakes. If the plastic pollution continues with this mammoth magnitude, the way towards sixth extinction goes through plastic pollution. Hundreds of aquatic species are on the verge of extinction already. Plastic pollution is the next best worrisome danger adding probabilities to this mass extinction in aquatic life.
